Claudia Aquino

Singer, musician and teacher

Music is the language that expresses what the heart cannot put into words.

I’m Claudia Aquino, a singer, musician and teacher. I have been teaching voice and instruments for more than 20 years. I trained in classical guitar and piano at the Amadeo Roldán Conservatory of Music in Havana, and then specialised in classical singing with advanced studies at the Instituto Superior de Arte de Cuba.

For 12 years I was part of the company Ópera de la Calle as principal soloist, musical director and choir director. During that time I also composed Espíritus, my first musical theatre work, which premiered at the Gran Teatro de La Habana.

Today I still enjoy what I love most: singing, creating and helping others discover their own voice and their own way of making music. I teach so that my students don’t just learn to play or sing, but find in music a way to express themselves and connect with what they feel.

Camila Rivero

Singer and teacher

Singing is not reserved for singers or musicians: it is your birthright.

I began studying classical singing at the Palacio Lírico Nacional de Cuba and then earned a degree in Musical Arts from Universidad Andrés Bello. I am also an Advanced Performer in Classical Singing from the Escuela Moderna de Música in Chile.

I furthered my training with Cristina Gallardo and took part in Berklee College’s Intensive Summer Opera Program at its Palau de les Arts campus in Valencia.

Besides my career as a classical singer, I have worked with modern music and mixed repertoire, such as soundtracks and musical theatre. I currently collaborate with several orchestras and stage productions, in and outside Madrid.
